My friends and I went to Hong Kong weeks ago. So funny because we booked our trip spontaneously. We were excited! We all know that there is on-going protests fighting for their democracy. We almost caught up in that situation. We were just there everybody was busy and calm and had no signs of any issues. Hoping for the best for them. Pray for Hong Kong. Let's go back to the story.
I finally wore my denim dress I bought months ago. I thought I will never wear this cute dress and yes, I wore my baggy boots for more comfortable walks in the city.
A few days before our flight, there was a typhoon name Luis and there was a news about the Hong Kong flight of Philippine Airlines had experience turbulence and passengers got panicked! Our flight was early in the morning and it was non-stop raining and was not cancelled. Typhoon Mario was already in the Philippine Area of Responsibility. I was worried that time, I'm not gonna lie.
My travel buddies: Jo and Cybil. I traveled with them separately before, so I'm excited to have fun with them. I thought this was gonna be our last photo. Geez!
During our flight out of Visayas area, we experienced turbulence that was really, really, scary and we dropped and good thing the Pilot was good and he pulled it up right away. Whew! Prayer and faith in God is the key too. I can't breathe that time, what a crazy plane ride, Disneyland ride could never! That was not my first time, I had a near death experience when I am going to Cebu and our ferry alarmed two-times and that means "life jacket" and any time can be abandoned ship. Sigh.
A selfie after that incident, I swear I feel so calm right now here because I can see Mr. Sun! So we decided to order sandwich for light breakfast.
So happy to see the islands of Hongkie!
From rainy season in the Philippines to sunny weather in Hong Kong, spell summer!
We survived!
Time to get maps.
Our mini bus ride.
The view on our way to hotel.
We stayed in Rambler Oasis Hotel, which is near to the airport and Disneyland, but far away from the Central District.
We were too early for check-in so we have to leave our baggage and left. Photo before getting ready to get lost!

I'm a frequent flyer too and I know that fright caused by turbulence. And though I usually fly, I still can't get used to it. Hehe.

Images are really impressive it seems you had great fun at your journey. Hong kong is one of most traditional regions. I visited there before my bus tours from boston to washington dc with my friends. We also had splendid time there. Ocean Park Hong Kong, Disneyland, Victoria Peak these are some of my favourite points of interest of this region we spend a great time there.
ReplyDeleteYeah...! After reading your post i could say ... Now this is real independence. I am very pleased to know about your traveling experiences. I also had a visit along with my friends when i was just 20 year old. From that day i am having craze about traveling. Nowadays i decided my christmas tours with my family. We all are so excited about our journey and ready to rock NYC....
