OMG! Guys! It's been a while. Finally posting our first travel of 2025 as a family to Chennai, Tamilnadu. Located in South India. We flew there from Manila to Kuala Lumpur and then flight to Chennai. It was a challenging travel not because we're with our infant, but because of the delayed for more than 24hours flight to KL from Manila. But we made it! We extended our stay in Chennai to make up for the 2 days we lost due to flight delayed. More stories soon!
I went on a solo trip to South Korea last October. It was just a short trip that I regret after. I should have added one extra day to stay in the country. HAHAHA
I wanted to explore the nightlife that Seoul has to offer. To be able to experience that I have to look for the spots and perfect location. I had no time, let's get real here. I have work after work. So I tried to search about Pubcrawl activity in Hongdae. After booking my Airbnb in Hongdae, I found this activity in Airbnb experience listing and it was nearby! Spell PERFECT!
The activity will take 5.5 hours and the hosts are good English speakers so there was no miscommunication and you will really have fun.
Meet Up Place
Our meet up was in RetroGameBar it was a themed after popular video games. When I arrived and meet the host and the other participants, I had a drink and played some of the games. So nostalgic.
I met this solo traveler from California. IDK why she was laughing here. I guess I was telling her some jokes.
Hongdae Park / Playground
After we are all completed we proceed to the next stop which is a park nearby. It is a children's playground and at night the crowd has a different vibe. Everyone can bring their drinks and chill at the park. That's what we did. We had our soju and rice wine for drinks. I tried it also in mixed and I was caught on cam. There you go.
It was weird that I was grouped with fellow Filipinos who have also joined the activity. I love talking to other nationality and excited to hear their stories. Here are the ladies that I met they are in one group. Looks like I belong.
One group shot before going to the next bar.
Bar Hopping
For some reasons, I have no photos where we went. My goal that night was just to have fun! I checked my phone for photos the next day, but I just have a few photos. I don't know why I wasn't smiling in this photo. Soju and rice wine was kicking in. I only remember Ms. California and Danica.
with Bo
The only decent groupie I have on my phone. I guess we were all having fun here and being comfy with each other.
Another group photo outside the bar before going to the last club in Hongdae.
With Bo again, he said that we are on our 4th club that night. Watch the VLOG below.
With homegirl, Danica!
Overall Feels
It was a great night out. I really enjoyed it as it was my goal. This is a safe activity for a solo female traveler like me. But please be responsible when it comes to drinking since you will go home alone. Make sure to book the right activity and read the reviews first before booking. I booked mine in Airbnb Experience here.If you are looking for affordable accommodation in Seoul you can book via Airbnb and sign up using my link https://www.airbnb.com/c/jdelgado417?currency=PHP get a discount on your first booking!

Hello everyone! Thought I have to post the video blogs of my solo trip in Thailand for two weeks. I consider Bangkok a place where I could live in Asia because of their strong culture, delicious food, city nightlife, work opportunities and of course nature tripping and beaches! Been there for more than the usual three days and two nights, I was there to live like a local. I worked as a freelancer so I had no issues with me traveling that long to experience how it's like to live in their country. Though I've been to Singapore for a month for work, I was stressed and felt the pressure most of the time because of work and budgeting my own expenses in the expensive city. Hmm... but Singapore is one of the beautiful and organized countries in Asia to go to or escape from Manila. Grabe yung side story, so here you go, hope you will enjoy the video blogs and if you have any questions for my trip, let me know! You can follow me on Instagram: @jewelclicks or leave a comment down below.
Let's get real here! Whenever we travel to a non-English country the only thing we think of is that "can they understand English language?" well that was a problem years ago. In today's modern and internet life and having a best friend Google we can now communicate with locals whether it's a Chinese language or Japanese, Google Translator app is helpful AF to become friends with locals.
Here's my short VLOG with the mother of the host of my Airbnb and this is how we communicate with each other. This was our second time to meet in Taipei, I stayed in their house when I went to Taipei for the first time and I loved how she put so much effort to talk to me via Google Translator and so I told her I will call her Mom too! She's the sweetest!
My last trip of the year was in Taipei, Taiwan AGAIN. I mentioned it before that it will be my go-to city when I want to escape Manila for a few days. Though, I miss Hong Kong busy streets and interesting spots to take self-portraits for social media posts. HAHA
I supposed to go back to Taipei with my friend Jo as our year-end out of the country trip but turns out that I went solo again. I WAS LIKE, WHAT'S NEW?
I didn't have plans where to exactly I will go this time around as I went to all tourist spots last spring and it was awesome! You can read my DIY itinerary here: Itinerary for 2 Days and Taipei Day 3andVLOG.
The highlight of my trip was joining the Pub Crawl on a Saturday night because I met new people and hang out with strangers. If you want something different thing to do when you're out of the country, you should try it. Read my Pub Crawl Taipei experience here.
I have the new favorite clothing line: Uranus Clothing proudly made in Cebu that I wore and perfect for being so urban when I stayed in the Shilin District in Jiantian near Shilin Night Market. My post about how to take photos when you travel solo is one of my popular posts right now as this is a frequently ask a question to me when I travel alone "who take your photos?" find out how here.
All photos in this post are taken by me, myself and I with the help of a tripod and remote control.
So thankful to have these tools.

So my friend cancels her trip to Taipei with me at a very last minute. I tried to convince her that she needed a break too, but it didn't work out. So here I am again going to a trip solo.
While I was on board in plane, I was browsing Klook website and checking what to do on Saturday night. I remembered someone told me to try the Pubcrawl. So with very last minute just a few minutes before we fly out the country, I BOOKED IT! Then I slept during the whole flight.
Meet Up Place
The meeting place is at Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall MRT Station - Exit 2. Good thing there's a convenient store nearby where I can grab something to eat for dinner before drinking. :)
All I wanted that night was to have enjoyed and discovered the nightlife in the city.
First Stop and Drink: Taiwan Beer
I don't drink beer, but this one is good for me.
Second Stop and Bubble Gum Shot
With Nina
Third Stop and Hell Shots
Stewart, Grumpy the Cat (watch my VLOG why) and Nina
Finally! My video blog about my Coron trip last September is now up! I was happy to celebrate my birthday with an ultimate island hopping tour. With my friends Carissa and Neil of Island Trotters and Rod of Spot a Leopard. It was a great trip and definitely one for the books.
Tadaaah! I went to Coron, Palawan last month for my birthday sea-lebration, but before that let me show you all the photos from my trip in Koh Lan in Pattaya Thailand, I know this is so overdue na.
