Sumaguing Cave, Sagada, Mountain Province Trip 2015

Sumaguing Cave, Sagada Mountain Province 2015

"Plot twist, plot twist!" So many plot twist happened these past few weeks in my life. I am so happy to have all the answers and now I am moving forward.

What so great about it is that I can now share my Sagada Trip from last month. I was told by my friend that of all dates why I decided to go there on Valentines Day? I said, I didn't notice not until never mind.

I asked Carissa if she already blog about our Sagada coldventure, she said "not yet, I can't even describe Sagada" I guess she is still awe with the place. Haaay, so love the place and missing it everyday. :(

So here yah go, if you have read my post about our home for few days “Sagada Home Stay” post then you know what I am going to share.

Sumaguing Cave (Normal Caving Mode)

There are two types of caving that you might want to know just in case you want to visit Sagada soon (eherm, friends out there..)

Two types:
  • Normal (easy)
  • Cave Connections (the hardest)

Since we are not equipped and not really ready for this kind of activity, we choose the “normal mode” not bad for all the first timers. It was really scary, but when I saw a group of senior citizen going out from the cave, I was amazed! So it was really fun, I guess.

First time to do caving! They really preserved everything and all natural! You need a tour guide on each group of people and each guide has petroleum gas so we have a light inside.

Look at our tour guide, waitin for all of us at the entrance, yes! entrance of the cave!

He prepared the petroleum gas.

It was really hard to take photos inside because you need to free your hands from holding your phone, camera or anything. You need to wear non-slippery shoes or sandals for this, but there’s a part that you need to take it off and leave it somewhere safe. Some part of the cave is really slippery that you will scream to death and give up, I guess. :D (Like I almost did that) Here are some photos that I can’t give justice to. Huhuhuhu.

The first part was easy as I can just wink on it. :D #sisiw

Tip: Be one of the first ten people to follow the guide, so you can have a chance to wait, sit (if you can) and rest while them watching the struggle and stuck in the traffic. Look at that!

Advantage:, Issa and I can take photos with the best settings that we can, hello?! we need more light inside the cave.

I brought my Bric’s bag, this is not a dry bag, but when I bought it, I asked if my things are safe just in case I will bring it to the beach. The material is really nice. So there. Also, this was the slippery part of the cave that Issa can still take photo of me struggling? whaaat? :O

These are the shots by Carissa, forgive us for the blurry photos we did the best we can have good shots. It is so cold inside the cave, how much more the water!

Oh no! Traffic again, so I asked Carissa to take photos of me as remembrance inside the cave. :) Thank you so much, I love you!

On our way up was easy for some of us unlike going down the cave. Be sure to wear comfortable outfit that you can easily move around because you will use your body. It was a great adventure, I got dirty because I sat on the rocks inside, but who cares, it was a fulfilling when I went out of the cave and see the mountains and green trees! Whoa! I did it! :)

Sagada Cave Man: You can wash your hands and feet here: PHP10 for washing and PHP20 if you want to take a bath.

Feels good to see the outside after our caving.
