On the Rocks at Ilig-Iligan Beach

I was refresh more than pressing the F5 button in my laptop keyboard when I went to Boracay Island last July. I was longing for a beach trip after April. I thought that was my last out of town because you will never know what lies ahead. Life lately was in a rollercoaster ride that you can still manage not to throw up when you reach the highest peak and going down landslide. BAM!

I leave to live. I stayed home for less than a month and left again to live. I remember my last year trips whenever I go I always go back. Now, whenever I'm home I always want to leave to look or find something I don't know yet. Isn't sounds crazy?

Honestly, whenever I go home I don't unpacked my stuff right away. It takes a month after or whenever I have to packed my things again. I find it tiring now. I even mastered packing my things couple of hours before going to the airport. I thought I will never get tired of this, but I guess I do now.

Booking tickets for less than a month trip is what I was up to. I still believe that spontaneous is fun, but I guess I don't find it any fun now. The excitement is there, the feeling is high, you are happy, but the impact after is kind a long-term than you were happy. These are experiences that you bring home and sometimes it became excess (emotional) baggage that you have to deal with.

Looking back, I don't have any regrets, I'm just happy and let me use this "feeling blessed".

Not "sometimes" I think "we should" go somewhere we can breathe and clear our mind somewhere we can relax and forget and leave everything we don't want to remember. After all, good or bad those are experiences that we have to encounter and will make us tougher, stronger and wiser.

I thought I will not feel this again, but I am on the rocks right now (with myself), I feel comfortable that I should be more aware of my decisions in life.

PS: Going out with the whole family! Mom's birthday too! :)
Until next drama-rama post.

Plot Twist: Where to Next Life Adventure?

I am starting to "falling out of love in the city I am living right now." It makes me feel sad about it. It was ten years ago when I felt love at first sight when I started my college. Just like being in a relationship, you have to get to know the place and discover more of it, good or bad you have to accept it and love it.

I have grown up in the city where life is balance: busy city life with work and go to the beach or an island get away for a weekend. Until I get feel comfortable about this life and started to go places out of the city. I started two years ago. We need space sometimes.

(Romper: Zaful.com | Bag: Bric's | Sunglasses: Sunnies by Charlie | Sandals: Rubi )

Last year I was in a "go to places you want to go" feeling. Let's not do the math show of all my expenses because we all know the formula of work hard, play harder!

Life between Departure and Arrival

I always leave the city every month and felt like I was infected by travel bug and itching to go somewhere. There were times that I had to re-book my tickets whenever it's time to go back home because I wanted to stay longer. I enjoy delayed flights and waiting game for the aircraft to arrived. I love how the air traffic cradles me up on air for 30 minutes before landing too. (That's the new feature ride, when will amusement park rides?)

As much as possible I always check-in happy and light, but sometimes I had excess baggage with me. So when there's nothing goes right, I scream: PLOT TWIST! ( This would be my category when I will write about something personal.)

HOW-TO-DEAL-WITH-THIS-FEELING?

This is when we will play Brian McKnight's song: Back At One - let's go back to start, let's see if it will work.

Get Busy

Not Sean Paul saying this to me. As much as I'd like to get rid of the word "busy" I think it is the right word to say to friends when I can't make it whenever they invite me to go out (wait, who's inviting me?)

I started to go out for an hour jogging every afternoon and once a week Muay Thai to clear my mind from stress and work. (That one minute freestyle punches and kicks, was for you. )

Working after my day work is not new to me. I know that if I work harder, I can give myself time to play harder too! Spell: Travel. (You can follow me on SnapChat: jewelclicks

Expand your Network (of Friends)

I joined social activity last January and met new people that became my friends in Facebook? HAHAHA, but keeping each other after the event is the hardest part. They are also busy with their own lives you know.

Blogging events can help me interact and catch up with friends in blogger-sphere and exchange new updates with each other.

I also find Business meetings challenging and interesting I feel like I'm a different person when it comes to conversation and dealing with them. I think I need more improvements with this.

Plan Ahead

There are so many things going on right now. Including dealing with personal feelings that you have no choice but to move on because hey! Life goes on. It's okay to dwell on it for a week (I guess? ) then the next thing you know you are just eating your feelings away.

I have few destinations in mind right now to go to and I'm kind of excited about it. My ultimate destinations will be on the next half of the year because I need more time to save up and work harder. Planning ahead of time is a good thing to remind myself that I have something to look forward to. It motivates me and forget about "falling out of love of this city."

What's important right now is wherever I go to other places I always come back home...

So, where to go next?

Wait!! Let me ...

Have a great day everyone!

Get Drunk on the Good Life, I'll Take You To Paradise

Hello December! Why so fast? I said, take it slow. HAHA

I am not complaining. This year is so awesome, I've been into the places that were on my list last year to go to this year and here ya go, I shared it all here in my blog. What a wonderful archive to read when I want to remember what I've been up to in my life this 2015 these are local events, travels (with friends and solo), sponsors, parties, weddings, and received blog award and recognition. When the hashtag feeling blessed is what you want to post.

One of the precious memories to treasure forever is to witnessed weddings of my friends this year. It was started last January as Secondary Sponsor, Bridesmaid in April and Secondary Sponsor again last November. Gosh! So happy no more weddings this month.

Out of three weddings, this is my favorite gown I wore. I love the color and the details of my sleeves. I also had head dress roses and bouquet of roses.

Now thinking where and what to do on my upcoming Christmas break? Any suggestions?

Leaving you this song where I get my title of this post. Teehee.

Have a great week everyone!

Hello! Ending the month of July with this post from my Boholiday at Bellevue Resort in Panglao, Bohol, I wore during our water sport activity! I am missing the beach reason why I invited my friends on a road trip to North, Cebu weeks ago, I will blog about it soon. For now, this is a very random update, so forgive me. HEHEHE

This is a quick post and writing this before leaving to Manila and I will be in Aurora, Baler in North Luzon for an adventure, ALONE. :) Because, why not? I can do this! *hugging myself

Or if you reading this on Saturday, I am now here enjoying the beach and surfing lesson.

Soul Surfing in Siargao Island

"Learn How To Surf" - Is this on your bucket-list too? I was so lucky to be with the people who have the same goals in life - to experience Siargao Island and to learn how to surf. I guess, I fell in love with both experiences. I know my travel diary to Siargao Island from our hometown was all worth it!

We arrived at the island in the afternoon and we just watched people who are having surfing lesson during sunset time. Looks like the struggle was real for first timers, then to find out how difficult it is for beginners, we decided to have our surfing session in the morning as early as 7AM!

How much?

It will cost you PHP500/hr with instructor and board. Oh well, not a bad rate, all of their instructors have licensed and professionals. They also have other options such as rent a board unlimited or per day if you already had at least three to four sessions of surfing lessons, they will allow you to surf alone. For beginners, of course its given that you need a guidance from instructor.

Finally sharing my soul surfing experience to you.

Warning: Photos loading in 3...2..1

What's good about this session is that Hendrix volunteered to take photos and videos of us while we are doing our surfing lesson and the photos turned out so cool! He was at the boardwalk and took best shots to all of us.

On our way to the surfing site we have to walk through the boardwalk as you can see above photo. I was with Ching and her sister Nicole.

Basic Instructions

Before you start, they will give you some basic instructions: proper paddling, how to stand up, and balance. If you know how to do planking or push-up or cobra inhale in yoga, it will be easier for you to stand on board. I can stand up and balance using my right leg in front and left leg at the back. You will see more in the photos below.

My instructor, Alvin teaching me how to paddle.

After few sequences of paddle, push-up, stand, I was so ready to hit the water!

Here we go!

Obviously, I fell so many times as a beginner after I stand and can't balance HAHAHA!

You know the next sequence of this photo..

Distance is Important
(for beginners)

Nicole and I had a minor accident when our boards collide and my board hit her ankle or shin, then we both fell so hard that we hit our feet on the corals and rocks. Make sure to inform your instructor to have distance to others to avoid this minor accident. We both had cut on our toes. It was prickly because of the saltwater, but we still managed to surf again and have fun.

For less than an hour, you can stand, balance and had "just to get wet" ,"got a few" and "good for what it is" in surfing made me so happy! (*surfing terms here)

Advantage:

If you are active into fitness work out or any activities like me, Muay Thai, Yoga and Running, you will never have a problem with strength and some breathing and you will not feel body pain the next day!

This is my favorite shot. My last ride or last wave before calling it a day.

After surfing lesson, look how tired and happy we are.
We were all wearing rash guard and look at Nicole, she's so sexy.

Nicole, Jewel, Ching

With our photographer Hendrix!
Thank you so much for taking our photos.

The trio in Siargao:

Going back to our room at Point 303 Beach Cloud 9 Resort and walked like I don't have a cut. We were getting ready to have our island hopping, I will blog about it soon.

Overall, learning surfing is fun!

I had bruises as you can see in this photo right knee, the next day all of them turned into color violet (I don't know the term of it) and really hurts, I also got bruised on my ribs area and scratches on my elbows and the cut on my left toe due to minor accident. I am not discouraging you not to do surfing, in fact these are remembrance and proof that you had fun and learned.

PS: Isn't this golden retriever dog name Pilsen so adorable? I can't help it and asked Ching to take photo of us. Dogs at Siargao island are friendly too! This photo is taken when we were going to our sunset surfing session. Surf pa more! (more photos soon)

If this is also on your bucket list, go surf now! Who said summer is over? Summer is forever!

Thank you,  Siargao Travels for arranging our trip!

5 Reasons Why I Choose Sagada as my Destination

Sweater: Terranova | Shorts: American Eagle | Shoes: Kicks by SM Dept
Let's start the year right! My first trip adventure of the year is in Mountain Province. YAAY! :) My original planned was to go solo in this trip to join a group tour and be like "whatever" and "I don't care" who are inside the van, you will all be friends at the end of the trip anyway. :)

Here are the reasons why I choose Sagada as my first destination this year.

5. The Thing Called Tadhana Movie

Have you seen the movie? I watched this movie alone a week before my travel to Sagada, Benguet and Baguio. The trailer was out late last year and when I've seen it, reminds me to go to the place because it has been on my bucket list.

Sorry no english subtitles, but when you will watch the movie, there is!

It's a big factor right now because the movie is popular for those who are heartbroken and looking for love? oh, no... not me. :P If you are planning to follow their itinerary in the movie, this is for your reference:

source
Oops! so expensive, right?

4. It's on my bucket list

We all have a "where to go" list or "things to do before you turn 30" and I am sure most of the adventurers out there this place is on your list too. :)

3. I'm an Extrovert and I Need Space

"I need some space. I can't handle people right now." mood. After many parties when the holidays started until January for the Sinulog Festival, I was thinking about to go to a place where I can find "space and peace." Admit it, we all need to be alone sometimes.

2. Cold Weather

Aside from being bitter sometimes, I need to experience once in a while how it feels living in a cold weather. Much closer and affordable than going to other countries. :)

1. I Just Want to Leave Travel

I just want to be real here, I was depressed and was vulnerable to buy plane tickets to go to somewhere else, blame it to the seat sale of the airlines, but whatever I bought a normal rate ticket just to get out of here. Good thing, Carissa decided to come along with me after two days I told her that I will go to Sagada. How can I say, "no" to a traveler who also went to different places and a good photographer who you can also ask to take photos of you during the travel. :P

Instead of going out and partying and get drunk I prefer checking seat sale and ask myself where to go next. Hmm.. I already have another destination, sooo... BRB, work harder mode on again.

What are your plans this coming summer?

Have a great day everyone!
