5 Reasons Why I Choose Sagada as my Destination

Sweater: Terranova | Shorts: American Eagle | Shoes: Kicks by SM Dept
Let's start the year right! My first trip adventure of the year is in Mountain Province. YAAY! :) My original planned was to go solo in this trip to join a group tour and be like "whatever" and "I don't care" who are inside the van, you will all be friends at the end of the trip anyway. :)

Here are the reasons why I choose Sagada as my first destination this year.

5. The Thing Called Tadhana Movie

Have you seen the movie? I watched this movie alone a week before my travel to Sagada, Benguet and Baguio. The trailer was out late last year and when I've seen it, reminds me to go to the place because it has been on my bucket list.

Sorry no english subtitles, but when you will watch the movie, there is!

It's a big factor right now because the movie is popular for those who are heartbroken and looking for love? oh, no... not me. :P If you are planning to follow their itinerary in the movie, this is for your reference:

Oops! so expensive, right?

4. It's on my bucket list

We all have a "where to go" list or "things to do before you turn 30" and I am sure most of the adventurers out there this place is on your list too. :)

3. I'm an Extrovert and I Need Space

"I need some space. I can't handle people right now." mood. After many parties when the holidays started until January for the Sinulog Festival, I was thinking about to go to a place where I can find "space and peace." Admit it, we all need to be alone sometimes.

2. Cold Weather

Aside from being bitter sometimes, I need to experience once in a while how it feels living in a cold weather. Much closer and affordable than going to other countries. :)

1. I Just Want to Leave Travel

I just want to be real here, I was depressed and was vulnerable to buy plane tickets to go to somewhere else, blame it to the seat sale of the airlines, but whatever I bought a normal rate ticket just to get out of here. Good thing, Carissa decided to come along with me after two days I told her that I will go to Sagada. How can I say, "no" to a traveler who also went to different places and a good photographer who you can also ask to take photos of you during the travel. :P

Instead of going out and partying and get drunk I prefer checking seat sale and ask myself where to go next. Hmm.. I already have another destination, sooo... BRB, work harder mode on again.

What are your plans this coming summer?

Have a great day everyone!

Hello from Benguet, Mountain Province

Excuse my morning face here.
Hello everyone! I'm back from my trip in Mountain Province and here's the map for your reference:

My main destination is Sagada and our first stop was Benguet! I was prepared for some thick clothes because the weather is more or less 10 degrees! We left Quezon City around 10PM for long drive. The last time I had a long drive was in my Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte trips that are also located in North Luzon!

Solo vs Group Photo
I uploaded some of the photos on my facebook, twitter and instagram for some updates for my family and friends (if we are following each other you already saw the photos). I also received some requests to update my blog from my trip, so here you go friends! :)

I believe this message is a "welcome message"

I traveled with Carissa of IslandTrotters.com we were both excited for this trip and we can't describe how it feels.

We had our breakfast somewhere in Benguet before our few more hours drive going to Sagada. Look at the fog!

Promise "the cold never bothered me anyway..."

Carissa was not prepared when it comes to proper clothes, maybe because she was too excited. So, we decided to check some of the stores near the restaurant. She bought beanie and jacket!

We also bought some key chains for our friends and family.

The highlight of this stop was to see the famous Benguet Rice Terraces that we always see in our history books when we were grade school. However, we can't see it as a whole so I decided to take a photo with this kiddo.

This is how Rice Terraces looks like if the season is summer, I guess.

Photo from Google
The Banaue Rice Terraces (Filipino: Hagdan-hagdang Palayan ng Banawe) are 2,000-year-old terraces that were carved into the mountains of Ifugao in the Philippines by ancestors of the indigenous people. The Rice Terraces are commonly referred to by Filipinos as the "Eighth Wonder of the World". It is commonly thought that the terraces were built with minimal equipment, largely by hand. The terraces are located approximately 1500 metres (5000 ft) above sea level. They are fed by an ancient irrigation system from the rainforests above the terraces. It is said that if the steps were put end to end, it would encircle half the globe. (source)
This is the best photo I can get.

The reasons why I choose Sagada is still on draft. I can't wait to share my adventures with you friends!

How was your weekend guys?

Have a great day everyone!

Photo Diary: Sinulog Weekend 2015

Here's the recap of my Sinulog Weekend 2015. No scandalous photos just pure fun.

#NextACTSinulog is the hashtag that Globe set for this year Sinulog Festival. I had a sneak peek of their Gen 3 store they put up in Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro, SM North Edsa, Quezon City and Manila that simultaneously open for public. The Globe GEN3 stores are home to various lifestyle zones with stories and exciting features for customers to experience and enjoy. Truly Globe sets new standard in retail.

Color Blast in One Mango

Sto. Niño Church

I went to church to offer a prayer by lightning candles, no mass when I went there and look at the crowd! Before everything else, such as partying on Friday and Saturday night.

Color Blast

Another thing, I tried to do this year is to go to an open event and for FREE. Great line up of DJs:
DJ BadKiss, DJ Callum David, DJ Mars Miranda and DJ Eric Capili.

Callalily Band performance

Me waiting for DJs.

So close with DJ Callum David and yes I went up on stage. :)

Busy doing his thing, my fave shot!

Shoutout to Cat Triviño, thank you and nice meeting you in person. Hope to see you on summer, alam na.

Liv Super Club

I went out with my brother's girlfriend, Gladys! We went to Liv Super Club for the Elektromundo Pre-Party at 12 midnight to catch up some fun! I missed the DJ Deuce Manila, but that's alright DJ Arra mixes were awesome! It was her first time there so she had fun.

We're on the right side wearing white tees and this guy dance moves was cool.

Changed location, but still on stage facing the DJ and this Aussie first time in Cebu to experience Sinulog Festival. Hooray!

We went home at 2:30AM.

Elektromundo

The main event and hanging out with my workmates! Unfortunately some of them don't have enough energy because they went to Life Dance party.

I didn't go to the streets on Sunday the Sinulog Festival day, because we have work on Monday. I'm fine with my Friday and Saturday night outs!

Parties are over, now back to my daily grind.
