Happy New Year 2016 - Cheers!

View from 70th floor. I can't give justice, this photo has poor quality. Huhuhu

I will definitely miss 2015, but we all know that we have to move forward and make more things happened!

As I move forward, I decided to spend my New Year's Eve here in Makati with friends. We spent our countdown at Joel's place at 70th floor! OMG! all the fireworks were really awesome! I just had to bear with my phone when the camera didn't work, (Damn it, why now?)

Here are my not so perfect shot of video because fireworks were literally everywhere and hope I had a 360 lens so I can see record everything in one steady shot.

and this short clip I posted on my Facebook page

Hello from Benguet, Mountain Province

Excuse my morning face here.
Hello everyone! I'm back from my trip in Mountain Province and here's the map for your reference:

My main destination is Sagada and our first stop was Benguet! I was prepared for some thick clothes because the weather is more or less 10 degrees! We left Quezon City around 10PM for long drive. The last time I had a long drive was in my Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte trips that are also located in North Luzon!

Solo vs Group Photo
I uploaded some of the photos on my facebook, twitter and instagram for some updates for my family and friends (if we are following each other you already saw the photos). I also received some requests to update my blog from my trip, so here you go friends! :)

I believe this message is a "welcome message"

I traveled with Carissa of IslandTrotters.com we were both excited for this trip and we can't describe how it feels.

We had our breakfast somewhere in Benguet before our few more hours drive going to Sagada. Look at the fog!

Promise "the cold never bothered me anyway..."

Carissa was not prepared when it comes to proper clothes, maybe because she was too excited. So, we decided to check some of the stores near the restaurant. She bought beanie and jacket!

We also bought some key chains for our friends and family.

The highlight of this stop was to see the famous Benguet Rice Terraces that we always see in our history books when we were grade school. However, we can't see it as a whole so I decided to take a photo with this kiddo.

This is how Rice Terraces looks like if the season is summer, I guess.

Photo from Google
The Banaue Rice Terraces (Filipino: Hagdan-hagdang Palayan ng Banawe) are 2,000-year-old terraces that were carved into the mountains of Ifugao in the Philippines by ancestors of the indigenous people. The Rice Terraces are commonly referred to by Filipinos as the "Eighth Wonder of the World". It is commonly thought that the terraces were built with minimal equipment, largely by hand. The terraces are located approximately 1500 metres (5000 ft) above sea level. They are fed by an ancient irrigation system from the rainforests above the terraces. It is said that if the steps were put end to end, it would encircle half the globe. (source)
This is the best photo I can get.

The reasons why I choose Sagada is still on draft. I can't wait to share my adventures with you friends!

How was your weekend guys?

Have a great day everyone!

Sugar. Yes Please

Title is from Sugar by Maroon 5, who are wedding crashing with their latest music video and that was totally staged. Whatever, I love the video.

I can't believe this, last week of January is approaching and after so many festivities in the city; New Year then Sinulog Festival here comes the month of love, which many concerts, reservations in fancy restaurants, teddy bears, pretty balloons and flowers display everywhere, ugh... that's so load of sweetness that makes me feel bitter. I can't relate for now. :)

After parties last weekend, I finally slowly back on track work after work, to run for cardio work out and some personal things I have to deal with.

If you are in a relationship for sure you're already thinking where to go with special someone and if you are single like me, for sure you have also plans where you will go on the valentine's weekend, right?

Wait, why am I talking about it already? Must because of my outfit color: RED that reminds me of heart. CHOS! Okay, for my plans, last year I traveled to surprise Dad and this year I will surprise Mom! :)

Speaking of weddings, I will be attending a wedding tomorrow for Larry and Kerstine, congratulations! The first wedding of the year that I will attend, for sure. Also, congratulations to my favorite blogger Saab Magalona and Jim Bacarro it's their wedding day as well! Cheers!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Flawless Face and Body Clinic - White Advanced Facial

SM City Cebu Branch
After a lot of beach outings I went to this year. I finally gave my skin a facial treatment! My main concern is my face, which is sensitive every time I swim and most exposed to the sun because I wore rash guard most of the time at the beach. Don't you agree?

First time to try facial treatment because of my sensitive skin condition, I can easily get rashes that I ignore whenever I go to the beach, you can also see my nerves in my cheeks. Then, I decided to give it a try in Flawless!  #AlagangFlawless

Good thing, Flawless Face and Body Clinic is having their campaign for this month of December as the National Flawless Month with 100% MORE on service packages from December 1-31, 2014 truly #FlawlessPinkRevolution

I grabbed the chance to have Flawless Facial White Advance that if you avail5 sessions you will get more 5 sessions for free until June 2015! Which you can also share to your loved ones! Awesome treat and you can also have bonding with your pal. :)

Whoa! So relaxing! :)

Photo opt with Victor and Divine while waiting. Of course, all of the photos are #nofilter :) By the way, my zit says hello!

Gaah! I was told to have Cell Booster Infusion Mask with Power Peel , but I went to the beach the other day for our Christmas party. Tsk. Maybe next time. :) I love how the staff handle my face, I was actually nervous, but it went very well. Good job!

After facial massage. I love it!

Ugh. I cried, but the pain was tolerable, promise. :) If you are into eyebrows threading like me, you can handle the pain of tweezer. :) #TiisGanda

While my face was under the steam, the staff was busy massaging my hands. After all the steaming and tweezing, it was ended with cold mask. I was in my savasana yoga position until I fell asleep. I totally forgot I was in a clinic!

So refreshing! I love the feeling, my face is so smooth.

Thank you, Flawless!

7th Best Cebu Blogs Awards Winners - Best Cebu Photo Blogger 2014

Promise, this is wacky posed.
I thought the event will be postponed due to heavy rains and strong winds brought by the typhoon Ruby or Hagupit. I hope everyone is safe!

Last month, I posted about my blog as one of the nominees for the 7th Best Cebu Blogs Awards 2014 and  here's the update about it!

Good thing the weather last Sunday, 7th of December night was calm and can manage to go out. Good opportunity for all of us to be held the 7th Best Cebu Blogs Awards!

I did not bring my camera since there will be an official photographer in the event. Here are the photos released and posted on BCB Facebook page.

Nice to meet you travel bloggers! :)

The Winner is...

Before I heard my name, I was talking to my mom on the phone and told her that I'm not at home, I'm in an event right now for an awarding, she told me that "you will win, anak" I was like "Mommy, c'mon... the competition is tight!"

When the host announced the winner of the Best Cebu Photo Blogger 2014 it was my name and I was surprised! I guess, Mother knows best!

Look at my reaction: surprised! (what to say? what to do?)

with Atty. Ethelbert Ouano, one of the judges and Mark Monta, Founder and Head of Best Cebu Blogs Awards.

The "Thank You" Speech

First of all, I thank God for this blessing! I started to brand my blog as Jewel Clicks last 2011 and I decided to create this blog because my Flickr account that time was very limited only for 200 photos upload. (how poor) So, why limit myself on posting when I can create a blog and post everything here? and tadaaah! the rest is the history.

I would like to say, Thank You to Rod of Spot a Leopard, he nominated my blog for this year awarding, he told me last year that he will do it and I thought this nomination is just for fun, but I felt the pressure when I've seen the list of the nominees and in two categories!

Thank you to my family, friends, readers and blogger friends anywhere in the world for always visiting my blog and leaving some love! Kisses!

Thank you to all the Judges for choosing my blog for this niche and to the team of Best Cebu Blogs behind this event, you are all hardworking on setting up and organizing the event and all the sponsors who support this kind of event. I love the trophy, guys!

One more reason to love Cebu more! :)
