OMG! Guys! It's been a while. Finally posting our first travel of 2025 as a family to Chennai, Tamilnadu. Located in South India. We flew there from Manila to Kuala Lumpur and then flight to Chennai. It was a challenging travel not because we're with our infant, but because of the delayed for more than 24hours flight to KL from Manila. But we made it! We extended our stay in Chennai to make up for the 2 days we lost due to flight delayed. More stories soon!

Our first family trip to Boracay was filled with unforgettable firsts: my partner’s birthday celebration, our baby’s first travel experience, and my mom’s first time visiting this beautiful island.
As a small Filipino-Indian family, we came together to celebrate and relax, even as Typhoon Kristine brought some unexpected rain and prevented our sunset moments. Though we missed out on the sunsets, we’re grateful for the safe return to Cebu.
Join us in this calming journey filled with family, love, and the adventure of traveling together.

September 2023 is the month and year to remember forever. I moved out from the big city and back to the city where I was adopted, a place where I have a piece of home in my heart and where I have my own place to live - Cebu.
I always fly home when I can to visit my family and a few close friends, the longest I stayed here was two months and then I had to go back again to Manila because that's where my life was.
Now that I'm officially back in Cebu, there are so many new developments and new and familiar trends here. First of all, I am so happy that there are stores and restaurants that are now open here that are from Manila which is good.
New transportation - you can't see the original classic jeepneys and you will see the minibus in the city with one signage going to I.T. Park - like, wow! And because of that, I still go for booking a grab car and riding a cab. Soon, I will drive my own or rent a car to do my errands and go around the city. Which is what I miss the most - road trip.
New buildings and condominiums - wow, so many new buildings here and hotels and condominiums that I can say give a lot of new options where to live conveniently. I love my place tho, but to be honest living in a low-rise building is good and prone to earthquakes, but I miss the elevator for easy access and less hassle carrying grocery stuff and luggage going up. I miss my old place in Manila.
I moved here in a decision that my partner and I had to make because we are entering a new journey together. (KILIG!)
Anyway, I just couldn't believe I've been here for a month now and I am a tourist exploring new options where to go for groceries, malls, shops, beauty salons, spas, and new places to hang out.
I'm happy to say that I am closer to my family even though they live on the North side and hang out with a friend on weekends for coffee and dinner and life updates. Looking forward to meeting other friends who are currently busy with life and careers.
Time to get to know new people and be known in this small community where I live. Good thing there will be a Halloween Party and Playground and Basketball Court blessings and dinner for all.
I have to buy more chocolates for the kids trick or treat and think what to bring for dinner.

When my friend Jaz posted in our group chat to go to Singapore - I said YES! Because I really wanted to go back to Singapore with just leisure and not work and I want to go to Universal Studios and have fun there! I don't usually go to theme parks when I travel because I travel solo on most of my trips abroad.
We booked our trip with a Travel Agency and we submitted and complied with all the requirements such as Singapore Arrival Card, Vaccine Certificate, and Travel Insurance before our travel.
So here are my photos of the arrival and finally Jewel at Jewel Changi Airport! Thanks for the welcome signage, SG! hahaha just kidding.
In my next post, I will share to you my fun experiences in Universal Studio Singapore.
I felt so happy to see this familiar spot again since I just had a photo here back in 2016. So long!
Have a great day everyone! Until the next post! xx
When we hear the number 22 we always think of Taylor Swift's song and we totally sing this line "I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22!"
So there are unfortunate series of events that happened in our family before the year ends - First: my sister was pregnant and about to give birth last December and required to take a series of RT PCR tests for Covid19. On her fourth test, she was tested positive. The whole family got quarantined for 14-days! Our dad's birthday was celebrated at home again and I couldn't go home because it was useless not to bond with them. Turns out that the rest of the family are all NEGATIVE after they had a swab test at home, but still quarantined for 14days. After few days, it was Super Typhoon Odette (Rai) hit the Visayas - Mindanao and the top tri-cities in Cebu province gained a lot of damages mostly are roofs and some houses made of light wood materials got smashed. Everyone I know are safe. Laban lang.
As for me, my family told me not to go home until water, electricity and telecommunications are stable. So, I booked my solo New Year's Eve countdown in the hotel near my place and tadah it was all worth it with the 360 views of fireworks and personalized mini bottle of champagne for souvenir.
I was hesistant at first to go there alone, but eventually I have met these siblings, Jen and Robi from Cebu. They evacuated here in Manila just like my other friends for New Year's celebration. They are also planning to work and stay here for a while.
The countdown begins and the fireworks display are all awesome and welcoming 2022 really feels so good. Im kind of carrying some emotional excess baggage, but just like decluttering my skincare products before I started writing this blog post, I will for sure slowly letting go of those baggages that I know there will be no room for this year. I will miss those moments and feelings, 2021 is one crazy roller coaster ride for all of us. I had encountered so many plot twists and received so many "Sorry".
But here I am, trying to pull up myself from the mess I've been to. Hoping that I can have a good year and less bad vibes because I am a happy ball of sunshine outside and l am so close to shut down every windows and doors in my life that I know I can't do that because at the end of the day, I want to feel light and happy and peaceful.
VLOG about my New Year's Eve here:
Life Updates is a weekly VLOG content created by Jewel Delgado to share my life updates in a week to inspire single independent adults out there to have life-work balance and slow down filled with life living alone, adulting, minimalist lifestyle, reviews and travels.
Sharing my IKEA shopping experience in Pasay City. I have scheduled my visit through their website also make sure that you have IKEA Family Membership para may points kayo.
I pronounce IKEA differently. It should be EE-KAY-UH in Swedish accent. Sharing para sa mga nalilito din.
“When Ingvar founded IKEA in 1943, he of course pronounced it with a typical Swedish accent: 'ee-kay-uh'”
I spent less than php3000 when I visit.
We also tried their food sa restaurant. My reviews ako sa food nila and super mura lang din.

My shopping buddy, Nabi
We ordered "almost" everything on their menu. So we can try them all.
We have finally had a chance to travel outside Metro Manila with my friends. The last time we were together was last February. Last year, we also had trips for few times. Nakakaoka!
We booked our all-day soaked at Inflatable Islands PH. Unfortunately, some of their inflatables were down due to typhoons this past few months. Also, they are only open during weekends only. It was perfect weather, so sunny and hot.
The year 2020 will ends in less than a month and we are now used to stay at home for so long and we couldn't travel abroad or domestic.
One of the things that we noticed during this pandemic is not wearing the outside clothes that we wear when we have a night out, events to attend, to work, or when we travel. As much as possible, I would like to wear them whenever I go to the supermarket or quick errands to the bank, or quick catch up with my friends. And because of that, my laundry is piling up so quickly!
It was also great to declutter most of my clothes, bags, shoes that I didn't use last year and started to practice minimalism last February. Less is more. So right now, with enough clothes, shoes, and bags that I have in my closet - I know for the fact that I am using them. I can't wait to declutter again next year and buy new ones that will last for a year and two.
Same-Day Laundry Service
I have moved to a new place a few months ago and when I was moving, I thought of "how I can do my laundry?" normally, laundry services take 2 to 3 days in return and with a delivery fee. (ugh!) Back to my old place, I used to do DIY laundry that I have to spend two hours of my time. I can do it while I'm working. Hassle-free right?
When I finally moved here to my new place, I started to look for a laundry service nearby, probably DIY - but I couldn't help but think of how can I drag my laundry going there? I don't want to.
Good thing, I saw this laundry service posted in the Facebook group marketplace and I started to inquire. They are offering the SAME-DAY laundry service!
So easy to book a scheduled FREE pick-up and delivery to your place. I booked it at 9AM and they will deliver your laundry in the afternoon at 2PM. They will do the laundry and fold your clothes. I don't think they do this before, but thanks to the new normal, I guess.
Before I used to do my laundry every two weeks, but only weighed 3 kilos and now that I want to wear the rest of my clothes, I wouldn't mind having my laundry in a month or three weeks because Dexter Laundry is here to rescue!
Oh, I forgot to mention, I book my laundry on a weekday - so imagine how less hassle to squeeze in the errand while I am working from home, I can just wait for my laundry the same day.
And the easiest way to answer all of these questions is "I'm good." As simple as that.
As much as we would like to rant or say so many things from our thoughts - it could impact a friend or a family who you are talking to the negativity that you have in your mind and they might absorb it and they will end up feeling bad about everything.
So, I have started to write snippets in my 2020 planner and yes, I have that because who would have thought that this year will be in this mess? I just write down what are the highlights of my day and what are my plans to do when I feel like to do it like typing this blog post right now.
I always remind myself that, first of all, it is not only me who is experiencing this kind of feeling - call it whatever you want to call it. It depends on how you handle situations or things.
They said that it is okay not to be okay. Sure, that was the Korean Drama I watched recently. It is okay to breakdown for a bit, then roll back again because there will be no one else to do that for you except yourself and God.
The good thing that I am buying stuff for my little space improvement. I am basically living in a small pod and I managed not to have the stuff that I just bought because most of the time I am on travel. Now that I am staying at home for five months, I need to comfort myself to buy the things that I need so I could stay at home and keep myself not to go out and buy essentials every day.
I will share to you what I was doing this quarantine life, such as the food I ordered from small businesses, stuff for home improvement, affordable loungewear and the latest quarantine home workouts that I do - yes, I keep on working out every day. :)
This is just a quick life update. I will write again soon.
Always remember to pray and thank God every day for the blessings that we received.
I HAD TIME TO EDIT AND SHARE TO ALL OF YOU OUR SUMMER TRIP IN OSAKA JAPAN LAST JULY 2019.
My travel buddy on this trip is Elie Rosales! She loves to go to Osaka (while I am more on Tokyo). I was happy to go on a trip with a friend who also loves Japan. Yes, we are Filipinas who loves Japan!

How are you all doing? A common question that we are all asking even before this global pandemic.
Today is Day 63 of our "stay at home" - we call it Enhanced Community Quarantine or ECQ with limited movement in the outside world. Now we are in Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine here in Metro Manila there will be little movements outside world such as going back to work, mall operations and other businesses that are on the government's list.
Everything stopped. EVERYTHING. But we have to live inside our home. To be honest, I thought I can do a daily blog about what I did in a day, but nope! I realized that being in my home is not a new thing to me, as I work from home for a year now. Except that I can't go to places or at least have lunch or coffee in my favorite restaurant on a weekend.
Mental Health
As much as I would like to read news from the first two weeks since we got hit by this Covid19 virus. I lessen watching the news - I only watch the news in the morning at 6AM - CNN Philippines - New Day through their Facebook live. It is only thirty minutes of news and updates on what's going on in our country.
What I also do which I have to do since I can't go out for a walk is that exercises! Good for mental health too. So after I work, I take a nap and then workout.
Here are my stay at home quarantine workouts I do in the afternoon. These are so quick and only will take a little of your time every day.
Abs Workout
Arm Workouts
Belly Fats Workouts
Full-Body Workouts
I love Lucy Wyndham Read home workout videos! They are short, but targeted and effective! I have no workout equipments at home so these workouts are perfect for me. You can also check her youtube channel for more workout videos.
Don't just say you JUST 7 minutes. Take out JUST in your vocabulary. Say I DID 7 MINUTES WORKOUT!
As the year 2019 comes to an end we were all busy with work, the holiday spirit possessed me and my friends by thinking of something that we could do together before we will have our holiday break with our families.
It was a good morning conversation in our group chat when we all decided to go to Bantayan Island in Cebu to have our year-end trip for five days! Sounds like we were tired of the North Luzon beach getaway for just over a weekend.
So we booked our flights that day and accommodation. I was excited because my friends from Manila will be going to Cebu once again and some are first-timer visiting the island.
Hagnaya Port - Ferry Ride
After a three to four hours bus ride, we arrived at Hagnaya Port where we will embark on the ferry for another two hours trip to the island.
Kota Beach Resort
This resort became popular when it was the location shoot for the movie "Camp Sawi" also known as "where do broken hearts go camp" but then we are not heartbroken, actually not all. So the resort decided to remove the Camp Sawi signage at their entrance to refrain non-guests to flocked in and having photoshoots a few years ago.
We booked two rooms.
Motorcycle Rental
We rented a motorbike for PHP300/day as our transport around the town. Joy is a local from Bantayan Island and hasn't been home for a long time since she became based in Manila for work. It was so refreshing for her to be at home and embraced being an island girl once again.
Virgin Island in Bantayan
It was 2013 when the last time I stepped in this island when there were no enough cottages, no stores to buy your drinks and food and other cliff diving spots to jump off with. So when I went there, the island is more on the touristy feels and no longer virgin for me because of the new photo opts spots, tables and cottages, toilets, stores and entrance fee that you have to pay once you entered the island.
The Ruins
It was my first time to visit this spot because whenever I visit Bantayan Island, I just stayed at the beach because that's what we came for after five hours of travel. So it was a good side trip to sight when you on a road trip with friends.
Mangrove Farm
We spent our sunset session in this area where it was quiet and scary because of the mangroves. It was a great location for some photo opts too because Camp Sawi signage is there! HAHA
And there is also a Camp Wagi signage which means you are a "winner!" for all aspects of your life.
Here's the VLOG of our trip. Thanks to Quinan for the video! Keep it up!
I KNOW! It's been a while since I updated my blog because I don't know what happened. Sorry to ghost you all.
I've always been known as a solo-traveller to my closest friends and other people I know online. So I am so happy that I realized that my trips this year are not solo trips! Omg, I am so emotional! I always dream about going on a trip with girlfriends.
So here is the recap of where I went and who is my travel buddy or squad for each trip:
Tokyo, Japan - Autumn 2018
I would like to start on last late November to early December 2018 - Autumn in Tokyo, Japan
It was our first time having a trip abroad with Carissa - We have a different flight going to Tokyo she went there first and I followed the next day. So she had a chance to explore and experience the busy subways in Tokyo.
The highlights of the trip:
Mt. Fuji-san showed up during our trip.
We got lost! Believe me, being lost alone is difficult because you only have to rely on your Google Map and self, but this time I got lost with a friend. We navigate the Airbnb that we booked for four days and it was kind of far from the train station.
We also got lost when we transferred to this popular APA Hotel in Shinjuku area. There are 3 APA Hotel in that street and we jumped off from one to another until we reached the right branch of the hotel. It was fun!
Bloopers: Carissa and I were facing another platform in the subway and we were waiting for a train to arrive, but there were none. Until a security guard called our attention and told us that the right platform is on the other side, so Carissa hurriedly ran to the train and the train doors were starting to close with a pretty cute melody sound - then I shouted because I panic - I pulled Carissa's backpack and told her not to run because the doors will close in few seconds and I don't want her to get stuck there. It was funny, but really scared me! We don't want to be on the news.
Asakusa Temple at Night
It was my first time seeing Asakusa at night! It was lovely.
Tokyo Tower
Skytree Tower
Nezu Temple
Cebu City - Sinulog Festival, January 2019
I am so happy whenever friends or someone I know from other places will visit my hometown - Cebu. It feels so proud to share where to go and what to do in the city, north and south areas of the province.
Last January - Yvonne, and friends from Japan visited Cebu for some beach therapy and a Sinulog Festival experience. I am glad they enjoyed their trip and probably go back again.
Also, my friends from Manila were there too! I just met them in the city from Bantayan Island. We went to a cool place to hang out and experience the nightlife in the city at Trademark Bar and Lounge. We had fun!
I left Cebu on the day of Sinulog because I have work the next day.
Tokyo, Japan - Spring, March 2019
Ok, so here we go and back again in Japan and this time with my best friend Jo. It was a spontaneous booking because she really wanted to go to Japan with me last Autumn, but she was in Europe. When she invited me I had no choice but to say "yes" because our tickets were already booked! HAHA Love it!
The highlights of the trip:
Chureito Pagoda
Saiko Iyashino-Sato Nenba
Cherry Blossoms!
Meiji-Shrine
Asakusa Temple
Shopping in Harajuku
It was a successful trip!!!
Bacolod City and Sipalay Negros Occidental - Wedding, May 2019
It was finally our first out of town with my lunch buddies at work. Aileen, Shey, and I were invited to attend Larissa's wedding in Bacolod. How can you not say no when it was your chance to visit the place and explore right? Attending a wedding was a very good excuse to do that.
The highlights of our trip:
Bacolod Museum
Exploring the Town
The Ruins
I love the sunset session in this mansion with our tour guide and new friend Julie!
Wedding Venue
Here's our CEO Itamar Gero, I. Tim, Shey, and Aileen
Sugar Beach, Sipalay
A 4-hour drive from the city to the island. We are so lucky to be part of Derek's victory party with his staff after the election. We stayed in Sulu Sunset Beach Resort which is secluded, but really it was a good and relaxing place with a beautiful sunset. We all wished that we stayed there for another day.
Clark City, Pampanga - Grand Opening of SureStay Plus Hotel By Best Western AC Luxe
This is a quick out-of-town trip and a blogger event and for that, I invited my friend Cath to join me on the staycation. The hotel facilities are great and we loved it. We were supposed to swim, but the weather was too cold because of the rainy season.
What to do when you have a teammate who loves Japan so much that she even enrolled Japanese language class for that? Well, lucky to have Elie! We had been planning to go to Japan together when we saw a seat sale for the first time, but it was a failed attempt. Then when Air Asia offered a new route to Osaka, I told Elie about it and she said, you know what? let's book it!
We were supposed to shop for Elie's pasalubong and some cosmetics to Donki, but when we were passing by the clubs there is this one club that caught our attention - free entrance for the ladies and unlimited drinks until 12mn. We were like - let's go inside, then if the crowd is not good, we can go out after a few drinks and go to Donki. But none of that happened. We unexpectedly enjoyed the night! We had good drinks and each floor of the building has a different genre of music and a different crowd! All in one building! How can you not love that?! We just paid Y750 for unlimited drinks. Giraffe Club is a cool place to be.
Too bad for Elie because she has to wake up the next day and fly back to Manila, where I was going to transfer to a hostel.
Bloopers: Elie's first time riding a taxi in Japan! We got lost a bit because we were dropped off 10 minutes away from our Airbnb.
Osaka, Japan - Summer, July 2019 - YES, AGAIN.
When my friend found out I will be in Osaka for the summer she also booked her flight and I have to extend my stay to wait for her. Elie went back to Manila already and I was really bored, but really I have to work and stayed in the hostel for 2 days living like a local and feeling at home.
The highlights of the trip:
Went back to Osaka Castle again
Kobe
We went to Kobe to see the Kobe Tower and Port and ate beef!
Sad to say I had to leave my friend and I taught her where to go for a few days and good thing she managed it because she is also a solo traveler.
Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur, George Town, Penang, and Langkawi Island - August 2019
I never imagine myself going solo to Malaysia. So when I found out that Kim was planning her solo trip - I asked for permission to join her that is right for my budget. She prepared a good itinerary that I can't imagine doing alone. It would be fun to be in a group so we are all happy that Karen will join too!
We had planned our trip only in our group chats and shared some ideas and suggestions on what we will do what are the activities and when are we going places. Until we came up with the final itinerary.
Karen arrives first in Kuala Lumpur so she had a chance to explore Melacah then next day, I arrived in the city and met Karen to check in to our Zen Room. We went to Petronas Twin Towers already and stroll around the area. Then Kim arrived the next day.
The highlights of the trip:
Food trip in Kuala Lumpur
On my first night, I met my old officemate Miguel who is currently working now in Malaysia. It was a good catch up we had dinner in this popular Thai restaurant - I know right? we are in KL, but we ate Thai food. I mean, who will say no to that? No one.
Batu Caves
Streets Arts in George Town, Penang Island
This is my favorite part of the trip. We reached George Town by a 5-hour bus ride from Kuala Lumpur because the girls didn't book the earliest flight which will only take an hour. But anyway, we had fun the bus was cozy and had a lot of space and it was a good way to catch up with sleep.
We met a new friend Michael a licensed tour guide in Penang!
We love the street art and food in this town. It was a very relaxing vibe that you can stay there for a month - you know feels like home.
Langkawi Island
From Georgetown, we rode a ferry boat for two hours. It was a rough ride going to the island because we experienced a strong wind and rain shower on our last night that panicked the residents of GT because it was a rare situation. We almost canceled our trip to the island, but then the ferry gave the go signal well, not in the middle of our trip.
This is my last stop of the trip and had to go back to Kuala Lumpur and wait for my connecting flight to Manila.
Bantayan Island, Cebu - December 2019
Finally, our year-end trip! But this time, Kim didn't join us because that is what you do when you have a boyfriend. JUST KIDDING! She has other errands to attend to. So here we are the crew: Karen, Leona, Joy, and I.
I know this is an all-girls trip, but we invited Quinan to be our photographer and videographer - Just kidding! We wanted him to improve more of his video shooting and editing skills.
