On the Rocks at Ilig-Iligan Beach

I was refresh more than pressing the F5 button in my laptop keyboard when I went to Boracay Island last July. I was longing for a beach trip after April. I thought that was my last out of town because you will never know what lies ahead. Life lately was in a rollercoaster ride that you can still manage not to throw up when you reach the highest peak and going down landslide. BAM!

I leave to live. I stayed home for less than a month and left again to live. I remember my last year trips whenever I go I always go back. Now, whenever I'm home I always want to leave to look or find something I don't know yet. Isn't sounds crazy? 

Honestly, whenever I go home I don't unpacked my stuff right away. It takes a month after or whenever I have to packed my things again. I find it tiring now. I even mastered packing my things couple of hours before going to the airport. I thought I will never get tired of this, but I guess I do now. 

Booking tickets for less than a month trip is what I was up to. I still believe that spontaneous is fun, but I guess I don't find it any fun now. The excitement is there, the feeling is high, you are happy, but the impact after is kind a long-term than you were happy. These are experiences that you bring home and sometimes it became excess (emotional) baggage that you have to deal with.  

Looking back, I don't have any regrets, I'm just happy and let me use this "feeling blessed". 

Not "sometimes" I think "we should" go somewhere we can breathe and clear our mind somewhere we can relax and forget and leave everything we don't want to remember. After all, good or bad those are experiences that we have to encounter and will make us tougher, stronger and wiser.

I thought I will not feel this again, but I am on the rocks right now (with myself), I feel comfortable that I should be more aware of my decisions in life.

PS: Going out with the whole family! Mom's birthday too! :)

I'm Burning in the Rain

As early as summer, I've decided not to shop for some summer dresses because I don't have any beach trips aside from my Canyoneering in Badian, Cebu with Manila friends that I will blog about soon. 

I looked forward to rainy season and my trip later this year (off to somewhere cold). For now, I am enjoying the cold weather because hello, June! It's rainy season here in our country. :)

Cool for Summer ft. Shein.com

YAY!! Summer is here and I still have no beach trips yet. Maybe someone casts a spell on me, can you believe it? Even though I don't have any beach trips (I have destinations in my mind, but I need to figure out when) I tried new things such as Cebu Booze Cruise, Rock Climbing in Poog, Day Hike to Mt. Pinatubo and the recent Mountain Biking Trail Tour - I will blog about these two soon, promise! :D 

Looks like this is different from last year. I am more careful with my decisions with spontaneous booking tickets whenever I feel to. If its seat sale, I feel like I'm in a war fighting to get the cheapest ticket, which is hard really, but it would be also great to book regular rates of plane tickets because I believe we have to be happy broke sometimes.

I missed choosing what swimwear to bring whenever I pack my things for my trip and ended up to bring all of them and decide what to wear mix and match when I get there. It is really important to choose the right swimwear or active wear this summer. 

Since I am currently in the city right now and trying to fight the beach weather mood. I am enjoying wearing loose clothes with light clothing to feel comfortable. I got this trendy dress from Shein.com I had a hard time choosing what to order. This new baby arrived after two weeks and I got excited to wear it. Shopping online is always the best option whenever you don't have time to go to malls or when you are looking for trendy and new designs of clothes that are not yet available in your favorite store.

Plot Twist: Where to Next Life Adventure?

I am starting to "falling out of love in the city I am living right now." It makes me feel sad about it. It was ten years ago when I felt love at first sight when I started my college. Just like being in a relationship, you have to get to know the place and discover more of it, good or bad you have to accept it and love it.

I have grown up in the city where life is balance: busy city life with work and go to the beach or an island get away for a weekend. Until I get feel comfortable about this life and started to go places out of the city. I started two years ago. We need space sometimes.

Last year I was in a "go to places you want to go" feeling. Let's not do the math show of all my expenses because we all know the formula of work hard, play harder!

Life between Departure and Arrival

I always leave the city every month and felt like I was infected by travel bug and itching to go somewhere. There were times that I had to re-book my tickets whenever it's time to go back home because I wanted to stay longer. I enjoy delayed flights and waiting game for the aircraft to arrived. I love how the air traffic cradles me up on air for 30 minutes before landing too. (That's the new feature ride, when will amusement park rides?)

As much as possible I always check-in happy and light, but sometimes I had excess baggage with me. So when there's nothing goes right, I scream: PLOT TWIST! ( This would be my category when I will write about something personal.) 

HOW-TO-DEAL-WITH-THIS-FEELING? 

This is when we will play Brian McKnight's song: Back At One - let's go back to start, let's see if it will work. 

Get Busy

Not Sean Paul saying this to me. As much as I'd like to get rid of the word "busy" I think it is the right word to say to friends when I can't make it whenever they invite me to go out (wait, who's inviting me?) 

I started to go out for an hour jogging every afternoon and once a week Muay Thai to clear my mind from stress and work. (That one minute freestyle punches and kicks, was for you. ) 

Working after my day work is not new to me. I know that if I work harder, I can give myself time to play harder too! Spell: Travel. (You can follow me on SnapChat: jewelclicks) 

Expand your Network (of Friends) 

I joined social activity last January and met new people that became my friends in Facebook? HAHAHA, but keeping each other after the event is the hardest part. They are also busy with their own lives you know. 

Blogging events can help me interact and catch up with friends in blogger-sphere and exchange new updates with each other. 

I also find Business meetings challenging and interesting I feel like I'm a different person when it comes to conversation and dealing with them. I think I need more improvements with this.

Plan Ahead

There are so many things going on right now. Including dealing with personal feelings that you have no choice but to move on because hey! Life goes on. It's okay to dwell on it for a week (I guess? ) then the next thing you know you are just eating your feelings away. 

I have few destinations in mind right now to go to and I'm kind of excited about it. My ultimate destinations will be on the next half of the year because I need more time to save up and work harder. Planning ahead of time is a good thing to remind myself that I have something to look forward to. It motivates me and forget about "falling out of love of this city."

What's important right now is wherever I go to other places I always come back home...
